Axolotl With a Bow on Its Head Coloring Page

A ribbon bow sits on top of this axolotl's head, drawn as two rounded loops either side of a small knotted band. It sits forward on the skull with the gills branching out behind it, so nothing overlaps and the bow stays one clean separate shape.

The face is the softest in this collection. Two very large eyes are filled dark with broad white highlights left inside, an oval blush is marked on each cheek, and the mouth is a small curve rather than a wide grin. The gills branch into four soft prongs on each side. The body is round and plump with both arms resting down at the sides, two short legs with marked toes, and a tail that curves away to the right.

The line work here is lighter than on most of the animal sheets, so this is a pencil page rather than a marker page. Heavy felt tips will spread past the thinner strokes, especially around the bow loops and the blush marks. Pink on the bow and a paler pink on the body is the obvious pairing. Swapping to a red bow on a white axolotl gives a sharper result and keeps the blush visible.
