Axolotl Wearing Rain Boots Coloring Page

Two tall rain boots take up the bottom of this sheet, each one drawn as a rounded shaft with a thick sole and a raised heel, worn on the back legs. The axolotl's toes spill over the top opening of both, which is a small detail worth keeping white so the boots still read as separate objects. Above them the body rises into a soft bell shape with two short arms at the sides.

The head is the busiest part. Six gill stalks branch away from it, bulbs at every tip, and under them sit two large eyes with bright highlights, three whisker lines per cheek and a long open smile. The tail lifts away to the right with short tick marks along its upper edge.

Rain boots are an excuse for the loudest color on the page, and nothing else here competes for attention. Yellow, red or a bold spotted pattern all land well, and the soles can take a dark gray to anchor the figure. The large empty torso is where a soft wash does most of the work, so pick something quiet there and let the footwear shout.
