A cape hangs from this axolotl's shoulders and falls open to both sides, its lower hem drawn as a loose wavy line that lifts slightly as though caught in a breeze. The two halves form the largest shapes on the sheet, each one completely empty inside. They part at the chest to show a plain rounded belly and two short arms held away from the body.

The head above is modest in scale, with small oval eyes, a faint closed smile and a scatter of fine gill stalks reaching out on either side. The tail emerges from beneath the right edge of the cape and curls back on itself near the hem.

A cape wants a strong single color on the outside, and these two panels are big enough to take a gradient if you want to work one. Try a deep shade at the shoulders easing to something lighter at the wavy hem. The underside, visible where the right panel folds back, can carry a lining tone in a second color. Against that, a pale body keeps the figure from disappearing into its own costume, and the gills stay prettiest barely tinted.
