A satchel sits flat across this axolotl's tummy, drawn as a wide rectangle with softly rounded corners and a flap line running across the upper third. A thin strap passes over one shoulder and down behind the body, which is what holds it in place. The pouch is completely plain inside, so it takes a single flat color or a pattern of your own.
This is the boldest line work on the hub. Every stroke is thick and even, the shapes are large, and there are very few of them, which makes it the most forgiving sheet here for a young child with a chunky marker. The head is a wide rounded dome with two lobed gill frills sitting on top, one to each side. The eyes are filled dark with a white highlight left in each, and the smile runs almost the full width of the face. Both arms reach out with four fingers spread, two feet plant at the bottom, and the tail curls forward between them.
Keep the pouch and the body in different color families or the satchel will disappear into the belly. A brown bag on a pink axolotl is the easy answer. Leaving the pouch white and coloring everything around it works just as well.
