Axolotl In A Decorated Aquarium With Plants Coloring Page

This one keeps things roomy. A single axolotl arcs through a round tank, tail curling down toward the gravel and one front foot lifted, drawn in clean unbroken lines with almost no interior pattern. A short row of spines runs along its back, and a small frill sits behind the jaw.

Tall ribbon plants sway up both sides of the glass, and a cluster of stemmed buds fills the right. Rounded stones line the floor of the tank and spill out past its base, every one a generous closed shape.

Because the animal is left almost blank, it behaves like a canvas. A soft wash across the whole body, then a slightly deeper tone along the belly and under the jaw, gives it roundness without any linework to fight. The stones are the other gift here: there are more than twenty and no two share an outline, so they suit a scattered palette where each pebble gets its own shade. Leave the water clear and the tank will read as glass.
