Axolotl Holding a Star Coloring Page

A large five pointed star is held up high beside this axolotl's head, gripped in one small hand with the fingers curling over the lower point. The star is left completely plain inside, one open shape with clean straight edges, and it sits in clear paper so nothing crowds it. The other arm reaches out to the opposite side with the hand open and the fingers spread.

Tall branching gills fan out from both sides of the head and one more frill stands straight up between them, which makes the silhouette unusually wide at the top. The eyes are large and filled with a white highlight left inside each one, and the smile runs most of the way across the face. Below, the body is plain and unmarked, standing on two short legs with clear toes, and the tail curves away to the right and tapers to a point.

The star is the decision on this page. A single flat yellow is the obvious call and it works. Banding the five points in different colors turns the same shape into a longer job. Keep the axolotl pale if you want the star to carry the sheet, or push both bright and let them compete.
