Axolotl Holding a Heart Coloring Page

A large heart is held against this axolotl's chest, gripped on both sides by small four-fingered hands that curl over its edges. The heart is completely plain inside, a single open shape that covers most of the torso and sits right at the middle of the page. It overlaps the chin slightly, which tucks the head in behind it and makes the whole pose read as a hug.

The gills are curly and ornate, looping out from each side of the head in soft branching coils. Two spots mark the top of the skull, the eyes are large with highlights left white, and the smile is gentle. A long tail arcs out to the right and tapers past the hip.

An empty heart that size is an invitation. Fill it flat in a strong red for a straightforward valentine, split it into bands for something more graphic, or write a short message inside before coloring around the letters. Pale pink across the axolotl keeps the heart dominant, while a cooler body color makes the red jump harder. The looping gills take a second pink beautifully and tie the two halves together.
