A single circle fills the middle of this page, divided down the middle by a long S curve so the two halves interlock. A koi swims in each half, and the two are arranged head to tail so that each one follows the curve of its own side.
The upper fish faces right with its head near the top of the circle and its tail sweeping down to the lower left, its body marked with fine parallel lines along the flank and a fan of thin rays through the tail and fins. The lower fish mirrors it, head to the left and tail lifting toward the upper right. Each has a single round eye and a small mouth, and their bodies are left open apart from the fin detail.
Across the bottom of the circle, curling waves roll up in overlapping crests, each one drawn as a smooth hooked curve with a few trailing lines behind it.
Everything sits inside one clean outer ring with bare paper all around it. The two fish and the two halves of the circle give you a natural pair to treat differently, which is the whole point of the symbol.
