Two mountain peaks rise across the middle of this page, the taller one on the right. Both are worked in fine hatching that follows the direction of each face, dense in the gullies and open along the ridges, with bare white caps left at the summits.
Behind them a large sun sits low, drawn as a plain circle inside a thin ring with long straight rays radiating out past it in every direction. A band of mist lies across the foot of the mountains, marked only by a few broken horizontal strokes and some fine stipple, so the peaks appear to float above it.
A wide floral band runs across the top of the sheet, built from curling stems, layered blooms and hanging leaf tips.
One thing worth knowing before you start: the treeline along the bottom is drawn as solid black fir silhouettes rather than outlines, so those trees are already dark and are not meant to be colored. The large open flowers standing in front of them are fully outlined and are where the work is down there. The mountains, the sun and the upper band are all wide open.
