Koi Pond With Lily Pads And Lotus Flowers Coloring Page

A koi swims across the lower middle of this page, its body turned so the head faces down and left and the tail lifts to the upper right. The whole flank is covered in a net of overlapping scales, each one outlined separately, while the fins and the long trailing tail are drawn in fine parallel rays.

Around it the pond is crowded with plants. Broad lily pads float at several angles, each one a rounded disc with a wedge notch cut in and veins radiating from the center. Lotus flowers open at the left and right with layered pointed petals and dotted centers, and tall slender buds rise on bare stems above them. More pads and leaves fill in behind.

The water shows only as fine horizontal ripple lines in the gaps between the plants.

A deep ornamental border wraps all four sides, built from curling scrolls, feathered leaves and small crests, with a faint pattern of tiny rosettes drifting through the open upper area. That upper section is much lighter than the rest, so the page gets steadily busier from top to bottom.
