Sugar Skull With a Heart on Its Forehead Coloring Page

One large heart sits high on the brow of this calavera, well above the eyes, with a smaller heart tucked beside each temple. Below them two arched brow lines sweep across the face and a tiny open chevron points down toward the nose. Both sockets are big open circles edged with beaded scallops, left white inside so they can take the brightest color on the page. The nose is a rounded heart and the teeth run in a long even row with scalloped lips above and below. Two curling swirls finish the cheeks. Hearts are the most common motif on a real sugar skull after flowers, and on a decorated calavera they usually carry a name. Nothing here is lettered, so the heart is yours to fill however you want. A strong red in the big heart with the two small ones in the same shade ties the top of the face together. Keep the scalloped eye rings in a contrasting color and the sockets lighter again, which stops the middle of the face going muddy.
