The center of this design is an eight pointed rosette whose points are heart shapes, and each heart is packed so tightly with parallel strokes that it reads almost solid from a distance. Inside the rosette a plain circle holds a crescent moon, and the lit face of that crescent is filled with fine ferns and hooking curls, the most delicate work on the page.

Scattered around it are stars of three different kinds: a five pointed one hanging from a short chain at the top, two slim four pointed sparkles, and several tiny asterisks tucked into the gaps.
