Symmetry is the whole point of this one. Fold the page down its middle and every petal on the left would land on its partner. That makes it unusually forgiving, because whatever you decide for one side, the other side is already decided too.
The flower opens in four clear layers. At the core sits a small disc stippled with dots and ringed by a string of tiny beads. Around it a crown of narrow blades points outward. Behind those come broad rounded petals with a soft dip at each tip, and behind those a final back layer of long pointed blades with scalloped edges, the largest shapes on the page.
A tall bud rises straight up from the top of the flower and an identical one drops from the bottom, both seamed down the middle with a line of beads. Several of the inner petals carry their own short row of dots running up the spine.
Layer by layer is the way to color it. Pick four values of one hue, darkest at the outside and palest at the center, and the flower will appear to lift off the paper. The dot work stays visible as long as you keep the middle light.
