Monster trucks are built around one absurd proportion: 66-inch tires under a body that would otherwise be an ordinary pickup. That ratio is the whole appeal, and it is why these pages are so easy for a child to get right, the wheels are supposed to look too big. These monster truck coloring pages cover crushing, jumping, mud, rally arenas and flame decals. Each downloads as a free printable PDF sized for US Letter paper.
Monster Truck With Huge Wheels Crushing a Row of Cars is the biggest scene and the one with the most to fill. Monster Truck Jumping Over a Ramp has the strongest sense of movement. Monster Truck With Flame Decals is the best excuse for a hot palette, and Monster Truck Crushing Cars is the simplest of the set.
Flame decals have a conventional order that makes them look right: white or yellow at the base where the flame starts, through orange, into deep red at the tips, following the direction the flames are drawn. Reversing that, dark at the base, light at the tips, is the usual mistake and makes the paint job look like seaweed.
One more thing is worth doing on every sheet here, and it is the tires. A monster truck tire is not a smooth black ring: the tread is cut into deep, widely spaced lugs, which is why the wheels look chewed rather than molded. Color the tire in a dark warm gray rather than black, push near-black into the gaps between the lugs, and leave a lighter band across the top of each wheel where the light falls. Because the wheels take up so much of every one of these drawings, that single step changes the page more than anything you do to the bodywork. The crushed cars underneath are a good place to use up whatever colors are left over, since a scrapped car can be any color at all.

Frequently Asked Questions
How big are real monster truck tires?
66 inches tall and about 43 inches wide, roughly five and a half feet, taller than most adults are at the shoulder. A complete truck weighs around 10,000 pounds and runs a supercharged engine producing well over 1,000 horsepower, which is what makes the jumps possible.
How do you color flame decals?
Follow the flame's direction with the palette. Start with white or pale yellow at the base where the flame meets the bodywork, move through orange along the middle, and finish with deep red at the tips. Keeping that order consistent across every flame on the vehicle is what makes the paint job read as fire.
Which monster truck page is best for a young child?
Monster Truck Crushing Cars is the simplest, with the fewest separate elements and the thickest outlines. They all use large shapes, so the whole set works from about age four.
Why do monster trucks have such huge tires?
Ground clearance and landing. The 66-inch tires lift the chassis high enough to drive over a row of parked cars without the frame touching them, and the soft, deeply lugged rubber soaks up the impact after a jump instead of passing it straight into the suspension. The size is doing a job, which is why it is worth drawing attention to on the page rather than treating the wheels as background.
