A broad rainbow arches across the upper half of this page, and no two of its bands are treated the same: one carries diamonds, another spirals, another a chain of small repeated motifs, so the arch reads as six distinct ribbons rather than one gradient. Beneath it, long straight streaks of rain fall in a curtain to the ground. A thick bank of tulips and open flowers rises at the left, a narrow stream winds away through the middle distance, and grass runs along the base.
