Easter Chicks And Spring Wildflowers Coloring Page
One chick stands on the ground and another grips a flower stem, in a meadow of buttercups, daisies and tall grass.

Two chicks share this meadow. The one on the ground stands square on both feet, body drawn as a single soft oval with a scalloped wing tucked against its side. The second perches higher up, gripping a flower stem with its toes, tail lifted behind it. Both have one round black eye and a small triangular beak, and both look pleased about something.
Wildflowers fill the space around them. Stems rise at different heights and carry buttercups, five petal daisies and a few closed buds, and a big daisy on a long stalk leans in from the right edge. Grass blades fan out along the ground line at the bottom.
A single butterfly floats near the top, small enough to miss.
The chicks are the easiest part and the most forgiving. Yellow is the expected choice and it works, but a white chick with a warm shadow under the wing looks just as convincing on paper.
The flowers are where this page gets interesting. There are enough separate blooms to run a whole spring palette without repeating yourself, and the thin stems mean a young hand should slow down or switch to a pencil for that part.
