Turkey With Patterned Tail Feathers Coloring Page

A round bodied turkey stands facing left with its tail fanned out in a wide arc behind it. Each tail feather is drawn as its own long rounded shape with a soft curved line running up the inside, and they overlap in tiers so the fan reads clearly from the outermost feather to the ones tucked close to the body. The bird has a short pointed beak, a small wattle hanging beneath it and two thin legs with splayed feet. That fan is built for color. The feathers can run through a warm sequence from the middle outward, or alternate between two shades for a striped effect, and either approach makes the tail the obvious centerpiece of the sheet. The body itself is one large smooth area that takes a single flat tone without any trouble, which gives younger children something straightforward to start on before they tackle the feathers one at a time.
