Sunflower In A Jar Coloring Page

One sunflower stands in a glass jar on this page. Rows of long pointed petals radiate out from a large plain circle at the center, and a straight stem carries down into the jar with one broad leaf along the way. The jar shows a rim at the top, a line across the middle for the water, and nothing else. No label, no writing, nothing to work around. The petals reward patience. There are enough of them to make a rhythm, and shading from pale at the tips to deeper near the center turns a flat flower into something that looks lit from behind. A younger child can sweep one color across the lot and still end up with a page worth keeping. The center circle is the largest single area on the sheet. Leave it plain for a clean look, or fill it with dots and small circles to suggest the packed seeds a real sunflower carries. Sunflowers stand through the first cold weeks of the season after everything else has gone over, which is why they belong here.
