Girl Holding A Bunch Of Leaves Coloring Page

A girl stands in profile on this page holding up a bunch of leaves gathered by their stems. Seven leaves of three different shapes fan out above her hand, each one with a central vein running through it. Her hair is tied back with a ribbon, she wears a plain dress over leggings, and a pair of boots finishes the figure. Her face shows one eye, a small nose, and a short smile. Nothing she wears carries a pattern, which leaves the decision entirely to whoever colors it. A plain dress can become checked, striped, spotted, or a single flat color, and each choice changes the whole page. That open space is the point. The leaves she is holding are the detailed part of the drawing. Give them three or four different tones and the bunch looks gathered from several trees rather than picked off one. Children do this naturally once they notice the leaf shapes differ. Print this one after a walk and let a child color the bunch to match whatever they brought home in their pocket.
