Country Road Lined With Trees Coloring Page

A road runs away from you into the distance on this page, narrowing to a point near the horizon. Tall trees line both verges, their crowns drawn as clusters of separate leaf shapes rather than one solid mass. Loose leaves lie scattered across the road surface and along the grass at the sides. A plain post and rail fence runs along the left verge. The sky above stays completely empty. This page teaches perspective without saying a word about it. The trees nearest you are large and detailed, the ones furthest away are small and simple, and a child colors them that way without having to be told. It is worth pointing out once the page is finished. Keep the road surface pale and the verges darker, and the road leads the eye straight to the horizon. Color the tree crowns in three or four related tones rather than one, and the avenue gains depth. The empty sky is deliberate. Leave it white for a crisp day or wash it lightly for something heavier.
