Black Hole With Swirling Accretion Disk In Space Coloring Page

A solid dark core sits inside a whipping accretion disk, ringed by a wreath of petals and set against a filled night sky.

At the center of the page sits a perfectly round black disc, and every line around it bends toward it. The accretion material is drawn as long tapering ribbons that curl inward in a tight spiral, and the artist has used reversed tone deliberately here, so the sky between the ribbons is filled dark and the ribbons themselves stay white. That inversion is the whole character of the sheet. Instead of coloring the subject against white paper, you are coloring bright matter against an already dark ground, which is closer to how these objects are actually photographed. Around the spiral runs a wreath of pointed petals and small flower medallions, and two scroll brackets sit in the upper corners with matching diamonds below. Bright warm colors do the most work here. Yellow, orange and hot pink on the ribbons read as heat against the black, and cool blues will disappear. Because so much of the surface is already inked, this page uses far less pigment than it looks like it will, and it finishes faster than the line count suggests. Print it on heavier stock if you plan to use markers.
