Child Reading On A Magical Flying Carpet Coloring Page

A child kneels on a flying carpet in the middle of this page, holding an open book up in both hands and looking down into it with a small smile. They wear a loose robe with a wide hood folded back around the shoulders and long sleeves gathered at the wrist, and their hair is drawn in short spiky strokes.

The carpet is the best part. It is seen from slightly below so the near edge runs across the page as a long shallow diamond, and a decorative band of swirls and small dots is worked along its border. Tassels hang from every corner and from the front edge, each one a little bundle of straight threads bound at the top, and a few hang lower than the rest so the whole thing reads as drifting.

Six four pointed stars are scattered through the air around the child, each a simple closed shape with nothing inside it.

Nothing is printed inside the book he reads. There is no floor, no sky and no background of any kind, so the carpet and its rider float on bare paper, which keeps the shape count low and the page quick to finish.
