Pizza Slice With Decorative Swirls Coloring Page

The slice in the middle of this sheet is ordinary enough. Everything around it is not. Large open spirals, plain rings, teardrop shapes and a pair of pinwheels float across the rest of the page, and none of them touch the pizza or each other, so the whole thing works as a set of separate small projects rather than one big picture. That is unusual on a food page and it is what makes this the most relaxing sheet in the pizza collection. It rewards the same approach as a zentangle. Choose three or four colors, hand one to each family of shape, then keep those pairings the whole way across the page so the design holds together instead of scattering. The spirals repay slow work, since a spiral colored in alternating bands looks nothing like one filled flat. Leave a few shapes white on purpose. A page this full needs somewhere for the eye to rest, and empty paper does that better than a pale wash. The slice itself carries a wide crust band at the top and a scatter of pepperoni rings, so you can color it as lunch and let everything around it stay pure pattern. Fine tip pens hold the narrower spirals better than markers.
