The dish is the long shallow boat that a banana split is traditionally served in, and it sits on two small feet in the lower half of the sheet. Lying along the back of it, and running nearly the full width of the page, is the banana, drawn as one long curved shape with its stem still on at the left end. Three scoops sit in a row in front of it. The one on the left wears a tall swirl of whipped cream built from several soft ridges stacked into a point, and three cherries with curved stems are spaced along the top of the row. The whole arrangement is made of large rounded shapes with generous white gaps between them, so a child can take one scoop at a time and change color as they go without much risk of running over an edge. Nothing is drawn beneath the dish and there is no table line, so the dessert sits alone on clear paper. If you are working through the ice cream set in order, this is the one to save for last, because it has the most separate pieces to plan.
