House With A Big Front Door Coloring Page
One oversized arched door fills the front of this cottage, with a scalloped shingle roof above and a ribbon of smoke curling from the chimney.

The door is the whole point here. It fills most of the front wall, curves over at the top, and carries a single round knob, which leaves an enormous open panel for a child who wants to cover ground quickly. Above it the roof sweeps out past the walls and carries a row of big scalloped shingles, each one a separate closed shape and none of them small. A paned window is tucked into the roof line, a second paned window with its own sill sits out on the right hand wall, and a chimney lets a long curling ribbon of smoke loop away into the empty paper. Two clumps of grass and one gentle ground line finish it off. The proportions are deliberately silly, and children respond to that. A door bigger than the windows reads as a storybook house rather than a real one, so nobody worries about getting it right. The scallops are the most useful part of the sheet for anyone practicing control, because they repeat, they are curved, and there are enough of them to try a pattern across the row. Work the smoke ribbon last, in one long stroke, and the page finishes on something satisfying.
