Horse Standing By A Fence Coloring Page

The horse stands square on four legs with its head turned slightly out toward you, which gives a clear look at the face. Its eyes are large and round, the muzzle is soft with two small nostrils, and a forelock falls between two pricked ears. From there the mane runs down the length of the neck as a series of long strands, each closed at both ends so it can be shaded separately or blended from top to bottom. The tail does the same thing at the back, sweeping down and then flicking out to one side in three or four broad ribbons. The body itself is smooth with almost no interior lines, and the legs finish in pale hooves marked off by a single band. Behind the animal a wooden fence runs the width of the page, two horizontal rails between chunky upright posts, with a few short grain lines suggesting the timber. Small clumps of grass grow along the bottom of each post. The fence sits far enough back that it never crowds the horse, so the animal stays the clear subject throughout.
