This school bus is drawn side on and facing right, so its whole length fills the page as one long rounded shape. A row of tall windows runs along the body, and two children lean out of them, one smiling and one waving a hand in the air. The front of the bus sits at the right with a round headlight, a side mirror and a plain panel above the windshield. Two big wheels carry it underneath, each with a wide open rim at its center.

Almost every part of this sheet is a large simple area, which makes it one of the gentlest pages in the back to school set. There is very little fine detail waiting to catch out a young hand. The two stripes running along the side split the body into bands that can each take a different shade, and the wheels, the mirror and the headlight leave a few smaller pieces to finish with at the end. A real bus wears one famous color, but nothing here stops a child from covering this one in stripes or spots instead.
