Playground Full Of Kids Enjoying Recess Coloring Page

Two climbing frames with pitched roofs sit at either side of an open yard here, one with a slide curving down from its deck and the other stretching into a longer covered walkway. Between them about a dozen small figures run, throw and crouch across the grass. Four more children stand close to us along the bottom with their backs turned, watching the game from the edge. A string of little bulbs crosses the sky, and a tree on the left hangs with lanterns.

A thick band of oversized flowers and leaves wraps the whole scene like a frame, and that band carries most of the line work. The distant figures, by contrast, are drawn very small indeed.

Work from the outside in. Border petals are large enough for any medium and they set the palette, so once they are finished the playground equipment can echo two of those choices and the middle will not compete. Save your finest tip for the background children, who are barely a fingernail tall.
