Colorful Backpack Loaded With School Supplies Coloring Page

A single backpack takes up almost this entire sheet, drawn large and uncluttered so the shapes stay easy to fill. It has a rounded main body, a zippered front pocket with a pull tab, two deep side pockets and a loop handle arching over the top. Out of the opening spills an armful of supplies: sharpened pencils, a couple of capped pens, a thick marker, a tall ruler, a glue stick and a few more bits poking up behind them.

Nothing on the page is fussy. Every line is thick and closed, every shape is bigger than a fingertip, and generous white space surrounds the bag. That combination makes it a good choice for a young child still learning to stay inside an outline.

Because the supplies are all separate shapes, this page rewards using a great many tones at once. Give each pencil its own, then let the bag itself be one flat block so the jumble at the top stands out against it.
