Robot Firefighter Holding A Hose

The helmet is what makes this robot a firefighter, and it is drawn properly: a rounded dome with a ridge over the crown and a wide brim that sweeps down to a point at the back. The robot's antenna pushes straight up through the top of it, which is a small joke worth keeping.

Under the brim the face is wide and cheerful, two big eyes with highlights in them, a row of tiny rivets along the jaw and a short curved smile. A third round lens sits on the side of the head. The body is a squared off box carrying two raised panels, one narrow and one deeper, with bolts at the corners.

In its left claw the robot holds a nozzle, and five smooth arcs of water fan out from it toward the left edge of the sheet. Those arcs are the only thing in that half of the page, which gives the spray room to read as fast moving. The hose runs from the nozzle down behind the body and loops up to a tank strapped on the robot's back, so you can trace the whole water path from tank to spray in one line.

The legs are short segmented tubes with a disc joint at each knee, ending in wide boots. There is no floor drawn under them at all.
