Little Witch Trick-or-treating With A Jack-o-lantern Coloring Page

A small girl in a witch costume stands square in the middle of this page, grinning straight out at you. Her hat is enormous relative to her, floppy brimmed with a bow pinned at the crown, and her hair sweeps out from under it on both sides. A cape hangs from her shoulders and she has gathered a fistful of it up in her left hand.

Below her cape she wears a short skirt, striped stockings and a pair of chunky laced boots. Two pumpkins sit beside her on the right, the nearer one carved with triangular eyes and a wide toothed grin, the other plain except for a slit mouth and a curling stem.

One thing to plan before you begin: the gathered cape is drawn with big solid black shadow wedges rather than open outline, so the color goes on the lit folds and the dark side is already decided for you. Everything else is open. A border of curling vines, small round blossoms and spiral tendrils runs down both sides of the sheet, and a wide bloom fills each bottom corner, which gives a second, much finer job to come back to.
