Robot Chef Cooking In A Kitchen

Whatever is in this pot, the robot is taking it seriously. It stands behind a stockpot almost as tall as its own body, reaching both arms around the sides to grip the handles, with a long wooden spoon resting in the top. A single thin curl of steam rises from the right hand side of the pot. That curl is the only movement on the page and it does a lot of work.

The chef hat is the other thing worth noticing. It sits high on the robot's square head, drawn as a tall band with a soft cloud of a crown puffing out above it, and it is by far the largest empty shape on the sheet. The head below is straightforward: two round eyes with rings around them, small discs on each side where ears would go and a rectangular mouth with a dot on either side.

The pot itself is left completely open inside, a wide plain cylinder with a rolled rim and a base ring at the bottom. There is one line behind the figure for the counter and nothing else at all, no shelves, no pans, no window. That emptiness is deliberate, because the pot and the hat are big enough shapes to carry the whole page on their own and a young child can finish both without help.
