Dancing Robot Surrounded By Musical Notes

This robot has stopped whatever it was built to do and started dancing. It is drawn mid step, weight on the left boot, right knee lifted so the foot swings out to the side, both hands thrown open with the fingers spread wide. Two thin antennae bounce off the top of its square head, each tipped with a small ball. The face is simple: two big round eyes and a wide rectangular grin, which is the whole reason the pose reads as happy rather than off balance.

The body is one large box with three panels on the front, a blank rectangle near the top and two rows of little dials beneath it. Those panels are the easiest starting point for younger children because they are big and they have clear edges. The arms and legs are built from short segments with joints between them, so there are plenty of small separate shapes to work through once the big areas are filled.

Fifteen music notes float in the space around the robot, a mix of single notes, beamed pairs and a few loose dots. They are spread evenly across the sheet rather than clustered, which keeps the page open and gives the eye somewhere to rest. Nothing overlaps the robot, so every outline stays easy to follow from start to finish.
