This one is architecture as much as it is a princess. Two walls of shelving run the full height of the sheet, every shelf packed with upright books whose spines are drawn as separate rectangles, and the count passes two hundred. If you want a project that lasts several sittings, here it is. The vaulted ceiling above carries dense scrollwork and a crowned medallion at its apex, while the rear wall behind her is covered in a damask pattern of curling stems.

She kneels at the middle in a wide skirt, holding an open book at reading height, hair falling over one shoulder beneath a small tiara. Her dress forms the largest clear area on the page and gives your eye somewhere to rest.

Smaller things reward a second look: a lamp on a slim side table at the left, a checkered floor running back toward the wall, and four large blooms sitting in the bottom corners like a frame. Reach for fine tipped pens or sharp pencils. A marker will swallow the book spines, and those spines are the best part of the sheet, because each one can take a different color.
