Princess Discovering A Magical Glowing Portal Coloring Page

A broad stone archway dominates this page, built from big simple blocks with the mortar lines drawn in. It stands on flat ground with nothing behind it, so you can see straight through the opening. A princess has walked up to the arch in profile, hands at her sides, hair tied back with a flower, in a long plain gown. Floating in the empty space inside the arch are six stars of different sizes.

This is far simpler than most pages in this set, and that is its strength. Big blocks, one figure, a handful of stars, and a great deal of white. A five year old can finish it and feel they finished it.

The arch is the obvious place to be systematic. Alternating two stone shades around the curve looks deliberate and takes no skill at all.

There is no glow drawn anywhere, so if you want the portal lit you will need to invent it. Leaving the inside of the arch white while filling everything around it is the simplest way.

A stone arch stands up because every block is being squeezed by its neighbors. Take one out and the whole curve falls, which is why the last stone placed at the top is called the keystone.
