A princess stands in a full length ball gown with her hands resting lightly at her sides and a small closed smile on her face. The gown is the whole point of the sheet. It starts with a fitted bodice cut into a point at the waist, gathers into draped panels across the hips, and then opens into an enormous skirt that reaches the bottom edge of the page and spreads wider than her shoulders.
Only a handful of long seam lines divide that skirt, which leaves five or six broad panels. Flat tone across them all reads as satin. Shifting from a pale shade at the hem to a deeper one at the waist reads as velvet. Either works, and the page is drawn openly enough that a marker will not flood anything it should not.
Above the waist there is finer work waiting: a pointed tiara with round jewels along the top, a teardrop earring on each side, and a strand of beads at the throat with a pendant hanging from it. Long hair falls over one shoulder in soft waves. Metallic gel pens or a yellow pencil on the tiara and beads will lift them away from the fabric. Compare this one with the floral gown princess in the same gallery if you want a harder version of the same subject.
