Everything here is arranged around the bucket, which takes up most of the lower half and is easily the biggest single shape on the page. It is drawn as a wide open box seen at a slight angle, with a flat lip along the front edge and one visible side panel, so a child can fill it flat or treat the two faces as different tones. Two straight bars run back from the bucket to the middle of the machine, and because white space separates them you can follow each arm all the way to where it joins. The tractor behind them is turned a little toward you. Its rear wheel is the tall ribbed one on the left with a curved guard arching over it, and a smaller wheel shows on the far side. A square cab with an open back sits above a bonnet that carries a narrow grille of short horizontal lines. Ground detail, sky and background are all absent, so the machine floats on bare paper and every outline stays easy to see.
