Mother Snake and Her Baby Snake Coloring Page

A long adult snake sits on the left of this sheet and a short baby snake sits on the right, with clear space between them so neither one runs into the other. Drawing them at two sizes gives a child something to talk about while they colour, and it is an easy way into big and small. Most snakes hatch from eggs and are on their own straight away, which surprises children who expect a nest. Give the two snakes different colours to keep them apart, or match them and see whether anyone notices they are meant to be family. Heavy outlines hold up under markers as well as crayons.
