A koala eats almost nothing but eucalyptus leaves, and it gets through about a pound of them a day, which is worth telling a child before they start. Here the animal holds one long leaf in a front paw and chews it, so the leaf sits close to the body and stays easy to colour. The leaf has a single vein down the middle and nothing else inside it.
