Frog Mandala Coloring Page

One frog sits at the centre of a round mandala, and rings of petal and leaf shapes open out from it to the edge of the circle. Every shape in every ring is an empty outline, so the sheet works the way a mandala should: pick a color for one ring, repeat it all the way round, then move outward. The repetition is the restful part. Work from the centre out and the frog stays the focus. Work from the outside in and the rings pull your eye instead, which is a different page and equally valid. The shapes get larger toward the rim, so the ink load stays light and the sheet does not crowd. Two colors alternating around a ring reads cleaner than five, and leaving one ring white gives the design somewhere to breathe. This is the slowest page in the frog set and the one most worth a quiet hour. Colored pencils hold their edge inside the smaller inner shapes better than markers do.
