Detailed Tree Frog Holding a Branch Coloring Page

A tree frog grips a bare branch, and the round pad on the end of every toe is the detail worth slowing down for. Those pads are what let a real tree frog hold on to a wet leaf, and they are drawn here as small open circles you can color one at a time. Rows of open spots run down the back and one hind leg, each spot left blank inside so it takes a color of its own without fighting the skin around it. The eye sits high on the head and comes already drawn as a dark ring, which is where a real tree frog carries it so the animal can watch the world while the rest of its body stays flat and still. Start with the toe pads while your hand is fresh, then work up the legs to the back. Greens are the obvious choice for the body, and leaving the spots a paler shade than the skin gives the sheet depth. Colored pencils suit this one better than markers, because the spots are small enough that a marker tip will run them together. Print it on the heaviest paper your printer takes.
