Children Sledding Down A Snow-covered Hill Coloring Page

Because almost everything here is snow, the winter clothing carries the whole picture. Encourage a different bright color for each child, and matching hats and mittens, so it is easy to tell one from the other. The sleds can be red and the tree trunks a warm brown. Leave the snow itself almost entirely white and only add a whisper of blue in the sled tracks.

Sledding works better than you would think for a reason. The pressure and the friction of the runners melt an extremely thin film of water on the surface of the snow, and the sled is really sliding on that water rather than on the ice itself.
