Superhero Flying With a Jetpack Coloring Page

Seen from the side and facing right, this hero is flying flat out with a rocket pack strapped between his shoulders. One arm is tucked in against his body, the legs trail behind, and two heavy boots come back toward the bottom of the sheet.

There is no cape here, which is unusual for this collection and works in the drawing's favor. The pack is the silhouette instead: a plain rounded cylinder with straps crossing the chest, and a long ribbon of flame curling away from it that loops back across the upper left of the page.

That flame is the best thing on the sheet to color. It is drawn as open outlines with clear channels inside, so warm tones can be layered through it from pale at the tip to strong where it leaves the pack, and none of it is filled in solid.

The figure carries very little interior detail by comparison, so the usual advice reverses: keep the suit calm and flat, then put all the effort into the exhaust. A single mid tone on the costume against a worked up flame reads as speed far better than a busy costume does. Two small bubbles float clear of the trail.
