Superhero Flying Over A Glittering City Skyline Coloring Page

You are looking up at this one. A boy flies right at the reader with both arms thrown wide and his palms open, a domed mask across his eyes, a lightning-shaped part cut into his hair and a broad grin underneath. His cape flares out from a high collar, his tunic carries a V neck and a buckled belt, and his legs trail behind him. Everything below is a city seen from above, dozens of towers in plain outline with grids of windows, flat rooftops, and a long avenue running down the middle crowded with cars the size of a fingernail.

The split in difficulty is useful. A younger child can take the figure and leave the buildings alone, while an older one can disappear into the skyline for an hour.

Keep the towers to a narrow range of cool tones and save every bright pencil for the boy. That is what will make him jump off the paper instead of sinking into the rooftops.

Notice that the buildings shrink as they approach the middle of the sheet. That is one point perspective, and the spot everything is aiming at sits more or less directly beneath his feet.
