Young Pirate Cabin Boy With A Lantern Coloring Page

A young cabin boy stands in a doorway at the center of this page, holding a lantern up at shoulder height in one hand. He is drawn small and round faced, with large eyes, a tiny mustache and a slightly worried expression, and an oversized tricorn hat with a skull and crossbones badge sits low across his brow.

The lantern is the detail to start on. It has a ringed handle, a domed cap, a pierced guard at the base and a glass panel with a pointed starburst inside it, each ray a separate closed shape.

He wears a long coat with a turned collar, a sash crossing his chest, and a wide belt with a square buckle over loose breeches and heavy boots. A rolled scroll is tucked under his other arm.

Behind him two tall timber posts rise to a carved gable with a crest at the apex, and the whole scene sits inside a dense field of curling filigree, drawn in a much lighter line so it reads as background. Low puffs of cloud and a cluster of small spheres sit along the ground.
