Scale is the whole idea. The arc takes up more than half the page, springing from the bottom left and bottom right corners and rising almost to the top edge, and it is drawn with seven bands so thick that even the innermost one has real width to it. Two substantial clouds with bumpy outlines sit in the upper corners, and a smaller pair rests at the right where the arc meets the ground. Below, the land rolls in four or five overlapping slopes marked with light contour strokes, and short tufts of grass are drawn along the front edge and over the nearest ridge. Seven bands is exactly the full rainbow sequence, so this is the sheet to reach for if you want to teach the order rather than just fill shapes. Red on the outside through to violet on the inside, every time, and the width of these bands means a young child can actually follow that instruction without slipping. Purple and indigo are the two most people forget, and they sit next to each other on the inner edge here, which makes them easy to point out.
