Two firework bursts open across the top half of this sheet. Each is built the same way, one large open circle at the core with long straight rays shooting out all around it, and the rays are drawn as narrow closed shapes rather than single strokes, so every one of them can be colored separately if anyone has the patience. The left burst is the larger of the two and its rays are longer. Below, along the bottom edge, stand three small houses on one gently curved ground line. Two have triangular roofs with a round window set into the gable, the middle one is flat topped, and each has a plain door. They are drawn small and simple on purpose, because the point of the composition is the distance between the rooftops and the sky. The wide band of empty paper in the middle is doing real work here. It is what makes the bursts read as high overhead rather than just above the chimneys. Anyone who wants a fuller page can add more houses along that line or a third burst in the gap.
